by Niki Anderson

This charming gift book is chock-full of endearing true stories about cats, and niki anderson makes spot-on observations about life based on these adorable furry tales. The beauty of God’s creation is evident in the lives of all of His creatures—and His wisdom is uniquely expressed in the delightful behaviors of the feline! A special bond naturally develops between cats and their owners, and we have so much to learn about living gracefully. In Whiskers, Wit, and Wisdom , Niki Anderson teaches us how to glean life lessons from our relationships with our cats. Cats do the funniest—and wisest—things! From being brazenly courageous to delightfully optimistic, sweetly loyal to having a fierce sense of honor, cats demonstrate that they have traits that most people only hope for. Clever elements sprinkle this cute volume, such as a “Purr-rayer,” a short prayer that reinforces the core message of an anecdote about a cat, “The Tail End,” brief lines which provide practical factual information that is both useful and fascinating, “Kitt Wit,” a humorous quip that enhances the story, and “Bio-note,” a few sentences that describe each cat’s owner. Whiskers, Wit, and Wisdom is a must-have volume for cat lovers that is sure to brighten their day and make them look at their cats in a whole new light!

Great book! All the stories are true, which of course I just loved. I was pleasantly surprised when I read a story about the cat at The Rocky Hock Playhouse, which is located in Edenton, NC. The playhouse is about an hour and a half, two hours from where I live. 😊

Each little story started off with a short “purr-rayer”, also had “Kitty Wit” which were basically fun little facts about cats. The stories all ended with a blurb about the owner/owners.

Recommended for cat lovers, as well as dog lovers….okay, basically all animal lovers!

For those who love cats

A sweet read. A devotional book featuring cat stories. Recommended for all cat lovers.
I found this book a nice break from other books.

Whiskers, Wit, and Wisdom is a compilation of 45 cat stories, with spiritual concepts weaved into each tale. This book also includes these extras with every story; a 'purr-rayer', 'Kitty Wit' (something funny to prompt a smile), and 'The Tail end' (interesting facts/trivia).

One such tale was about a rescue cat named Winnie, who paid back the favor by saving her human family during a gas leak. The moral of this story was that by adding extraordinary love to ordinary efforts, you too can do wonders.

Whiskers, Wit, and Wisdom was beautifully written and can be enjoyed both by people of faith, and also by others who do not identify with a religion. Highly recommended for a Christian cat lover.

The book is definitely different. It is a must read especially for anyone who loves animals. It contains individual stories of a cat's survival with God's scriptures, written by various authors and their cats.
