He then became the Assistant to the Director of the Puerto Rican InterAgency Council, a government funded research and demonstration project. He worked at Glamour and then at Vogue, as the assistant to the editor, Kate Lloyd.

Gene speaks a few languages: English, Hungarian, Hebrew, German and is getting better at Japanese every day.

It's great that this book exists as a document of a unique era, but as a read it quickly becomes monotonous. Basically the book consists of interviews with people who ran Kiss fanzines. It almost seems as if the interviewees have been asked the same questions; how did you become a Kiss fan, when did you start your fanzine and what is your fondest memory.

Some reoccurring themes in the book - Eric Carr was always nice to the fans, Gene Simmons was accessible, a lot of fans seemed obsessed with meeting the band and everyone made a ton of new friends through their fandom.

This is an awesome tome covering all of the KISS zine phenom. It has the creators of all the different zines write up memories from when they were publishing theirs. Extensive cover galleries, most from Gene's personal collection. Plus, there's like three huge pages written by one of my guitarists Joe D. talking about his zine "KISS HELL" and when Gene had him head up the Dallas KISS Convention. This book rocks!

Great KISSTORY! The early photos of Eric Carr are the best and the many reprints of magazine stories are clear enough to reread and relive. Great collection!
