Ladybird books are known and loved the world over. For millions of people, they bring back the golden days of childhood - learning to read, discovering the magic of books, and growing up.

The very first Ladybird book ever was produced by a jobbing printer called Wills & Hepworth during the First World War. The company, based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, began to publish 'pure and healthy literature' for children, registering the Ladybird logo in 1915. Despite the company's claims, however, those books would no longer be politically correct. In the ABC Picture Book, for example, A stood for armoured train!

This was my first Peppa Pig book, and I have really grown very fond of this Pig. I’ve even got a stuffed toy of her and keep roaming about the house with her under my arm all the time and a Catholic Theology book in my other hand! I am scaring the living daylights out of my Man Friday help because of my behaviour. He thinks I have entered my second childhood phase already before the elderly family members I live with!

But on a serious note, this Pig is really something else, and I really enjoy the merchandise, and the franchise stuff related to her, including her story books. I loved the book titled ‘Peppa Goes to the Library’ and really enjoyed it while reading it on my new revolving but comfy and cozy reading chair in my bedroom reading nook with the Peppa Pig stuffed toy by my side. I think after teaching so many Junior School students or PYP students for more than 11 months this year, I’ve finally become quite like them. It is best to be a child, especially a child or Pig or rather Piglet who has suddenly begun to enjoy the wonders and joys of a lending library. This is what dear old Peppa Pig discovers when her parents take her and her younger brother to visit the local library where her father has to return a book, he borrowed from there some time ago. What happens next is for you to find out and enjoy – do get the entire Peppa Pig story book bundle or box set ASAP and treat not only your toddlers but also yourself to the wonders of Peppa Pig.

My family members are totally flabbergasted why I am roaming around with the Peppa Pig story book and franchise material about me, but that is because they have yet not seen the wonders that this T.V. character can do to induce the young and impressionable to read, have adventures, and to read some more. Peppa Pig is my ultimate favourite, period.

Peppa Pig’s library visit gets 5 stars from me.

Peppa and George are introduced to the library for the first time (and their father realizes he has a massive fine for a much overdue book. A briefer board book adaptation of _Peppa Pig and the Library Visit_.

Kait was such a fan of Peppa at one point and every once and awhile the show/books have jokes that really amuse me. Daddy Pig having a library book out about concrete for ten years is one of those.

While I love Peppa Pig, I'm not a fan of this book.
The low-quality illustrations and obnoxious typeface are a good place to start, but in addition, part of the author's introduction for young readers to libraries is the notion that those who return books late are "naughty" (take it from a librarian, this isn't how I'd describe an overdue book).
Long-winded and with overly-complex (but hastily-constructed) illustrations, I wouldn't say this is my favorite format for Peppa and friends. I'll stick with the show.
