Good version in that there is side-by-side English translation to the original Hebrew text, but the English translation is often not very accurate and/or extremely dry and not very easily readable. However, the side-by-side English translation provides excellent convenience as valuable resource when studying and learning the original Hebrew language - i.e. instead of having to go back and forth between two separate (Hebrew and English) books.

This is the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) I have been using from middle school through college and into rabbinical school. The more I learn to read the original Hebrew, the more appreciative I am of this straightforward, literal translation.

I have tried several formats to download a Jerusalem bible - Jewish or Catholic. Complete runaround.
