Definitely worth reading! This author is one of my faves. 😍😍
I did moan a bit in my updates about the lack of condoms . . . well, it was 'mentioned' later that they did use them. That was lame, lol, but I can live with it.😂 Especially because there was part at the end that was pretty phenomenal.
I've already started book 2 and I'm loving it even more!

I discovered S. Ann Cole when I was privileged to read The Biker and the Professor. I have followed her path since. Her most recent book is The Right Garza; this book follows the tumultuous story of Trent and Lexi. The pair grew up together and have a complicated and supportive relationship. Lexi is a magnet for trouble and Trent is usually able to extricate her intact. However, her most recent caper may be more than even he is able to finesse. As in all of the other stories I have read by this author, her secondary characters are just as rich and charismatic and her main characters. I am hopeful that Stefano will make an appearance somewhere down the line. This book is incredibly nuanced and detailed and I enjoyed every minute of the ride.

Fantastic.
I first discovered this author with her Billionaire Brothers trilogy and then went about devouring her entire backlist of books. There is something special about the way that she writes that resonates with me. When I first heard about the Red Cage series I was one hundred percent invested in where she was going to go with it. I was right to be excited.
This premise could have been cheesy or even awkward. However, this author did it with ease. At first, I wasn't sure where the story was going to go in regards to the history of Trent and Lexie. Lexie found herself in trouble and Trent was there to save her. I knew there was a connection between them because of family but I didn't understand what that connection was until later in the book. That worked in favor of the book because I was able to watch the connection between them grow. I enjoyed watching Lexie grow in her confidence because it helped me understand why she was in the position that she was and what had her run from the Garza family in the first place. Now Trent, GOOOOOOOD LORD, he was delicious. Not in a typical macho man sort of way, but rather who he was as a person. Especially, when it comes to how much he loves and has loved Lexie. That was special to see.
There are great secondary characters. So fantastic, that I hope that the author continues with them so that they get their own stories too. I adored the Garza family. I also adored Stefano and Lorenzo. I know I shouldn't but there was something special about them and a hint of an almost foreshadowing in regards to them, particularly Stefano. I chuckled to myself a few times when he was having conversations with Lexie.
The only complaints that I had, was that I wish there had been more of an explanation of the security company that they ran and I wish that Lexie would have had the truth about Torin (whether from Torin himself or secondhand from Trent. Still, even with these two things, I was still invested in the story and what was happening.
I highly recommend this author and book. I look forward to whatever she has coming next.

A fun story that includes romance, intrigue, mystery, slightly crazy relatives and redemption. A love story that crosses time and geography, but ends up at home. The author does a great job of character development, family relationships (both strained and loving), and plausible fictional story lines to keep the reader excited for the next chapter as well as future books in the series. I'm only not giving it 5 stars as I didn't feel the past relationship of Lexi and Maggie added to the story. The author could have had more humor with the current relationship of the two. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Trent Garza has conquered me. Even though I like a good drama and this story seemed to promise a love triangle between 2 brothers and the girl they and their brothers grew up with, in the end I'm glad there isn't that sibling fight.
Lexi dates Tor, Trent's older brother, in high school, whom she leaves after learning that he has been unfaithful to her, which leads her to distance himself from all the Garza brothers.
But now that she is in serious trouble, it is Trent who once again comes to her aid, but in return she will have to do something for him.
TeamTrent almost from the beginning, I like Lexi, only sometimes, she seems like she lives in her own world.
I❤️ the story and I want to read more about these brothers.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked all the characters except the heroine, she's an idiot start to finish, ripping off the casinos and being forced to return double what she stole. You'd think the first time would be a lesson but no, she does it not once more but several more times. Don't know how she managed to pay back so much money when she wasn't making any with getting caught and having to pay double.
She then had to pay back double the 48k cheated from the casino, a whopping 92k, not really her fault this time, but in drops the gorgeous, sexy, protective Alpha from her childhood to save this idiot damsel in distress. I really liked the male character Trent, all the characters in this book actually, but the heroine leaving him for a month to decide if her feelings were real for him, leaving him hanging and hurt, it annoyed me.
Liife is too short to waste pointless time like this away from people you love and hurting them like that, when she had already wasted years by cutting him out of her life like she did. When all the brothers, their mother and sister loved her like she was family, all because she was so immature. Fine, she was young, but to repeat this mistake, argh! She learned nothing and wasn't likable for doing that to him.
But I liked the hero alot, his teenage love for her and the way his teen crush grew in intensity, but still giving her her choice. Dark romance is my favourite genre so I was shocked by how much I really enjiyed their non-dark romance. Even the scene setting in Vegas and LA, while only given briefly, gave depth to the story. Although billionaire stories aren't for me, it wasn't in too much of the book, just the odd mention of five million dollars paid for this property etc.
The biggest issue with the book, apart from not liking the heroine, was repetition. The first example when the author had readers re-read the hero thinking about the security guard chasing her and hitting her after she stole a diamond necklace, literally only seconds after reading the scene happening.
Another example was the informatiin on Slim. The impression that he was someone to stay away from was clear in the first scene of him and the heroine's thoughts of him afterward, so it really didn't need to repeat it again in more detail in the heroine's thoughts later. The biggest issue with repetition was this below copied and pasted direct from the book -
“If you tell anyone I said this, I’ll deny it to my last breath: To better your culinary skills, pay closer attention to Rosa. For managerial and entrepreneurial skills, pay closer attention to Mama.
They compete all the time over who’s the better cook, and Mama will strangle me for saying this, but Rosa is better. Mama’s strengths lie in managing, directing, and building.”
The second paragraph says exactly the same thing the first paragraph does. It doesn't look like much here but it takes up almost an entire ebook page, half wasted with repetition. Those examples are probably only the editor in me coming out, because they're minor compared to how enjoyable this book was.
This story and characters also had a cool young, but not immature, US 'neighbourhood' vibe. Not as much as a book I read a few years ago, about a rich-ish girl's family going broke and having to move into 'the neighbourhood', her having to go to the local free school, with guys and girls who race cars at night under the brdges, gave tats and bagasse attitude etc. I'd never read a book with those kimd of characters before, maybe because I focus on dark romance, Mafia, MC and werewolf/scifi romance. So I enjoyed that vibe here.
I'm skipping the other brothers stories for now to jump straight into reading Torin's book, he appeals more than them. Actually now I mention that, it's another slight issue, too little detail on them given means the author didn't pull me into wanting to read their books. But I'll likely try them later and more books by the author. Definitely recommend this. 3 stars. That's a high rating from me, especially for a non-dark contemporary romance that took me only a day to read.

Terrific start to a new series! This story grabbed me right from the beginning and with the fast paced storytelling it held my attention all the way to the end. The hunky Garza brothers are the focus of the series as operatives/owners of an investigative and security business, Red Cage. First up is the broody twin Trent. He was larger than life as he saved the only girl for him. His love and devotion to Lexi was everything. She on the other hand had blinders on. Silly girl! Their relationship from childhood friends to lovers was a slow burn as Trent pulled a few strings to lead Lexi to the foregone conclusion. They were perfect together. Lexi was a fiery Latina that was part saint and part troublemaker. The trouble lead to danger which lead to Trent and Lexi being reunited. Sparks were flying for more than one reason. There were so many wonderful elements in the story. I loved the warm and funny family & friends atmosphere with Lexi and Trent’s families. Lexi’s family was a hoot and Trent has all those sexy brothers and his crazy cousins. I can’t wait for their stories. There’s drama, danger and action when Lexi crosses the wrong people in Vegas and with the Garza brothers business. This was my first read by this author and I really liked her writing and fabulous characters. The romance was a slow build but the burn was there between these two sexy characters. Their chemistry was palatable and when they finally got together it was magic. I loved it and look forward to the next installment of Red Cage and the sexy Garza brothers. A must read!

Okay, so, The Right Garza by S. Ann Cole. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I'm gonna review this book according to my top points that make a book stick with me.
First of all, there was some pretty awesome humor in this book. There were often funny quips and I laughed out loud and smile all throughout this book.
Next, the writing quality of this book was awesome. I loved the way the words flowed on the pages, went together perfectly. I liked the way this author described things a LOT.
The story had me HOOKED from the very first page. The whole thing just kept getting more interesting and I loved the characters. There were great, very endearing side characters that helped the story on wonderfully, and I liked both of the main characters. There were some flaws in both of them that I could have gone without, but they didn't bother me overly much.
And I loved the emotion in this book. I was feeling it along with the characters and was really strong. The sex scenes were pretty hot in this book too. For me, there was the perfect amount of heat. I will be remembering Lexi and Trent :).
Overall, I definitely recommend this book!

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Trent and Lexi grew up together and have a complicated and supportive relationship. Lexi is a magnet for trouble and Trent is usually able to extricate her intact. However, her most recent caper may be more than even he is able to finesse. Trent sexy as all get out protector, savior and so in love with Lex finally she sees it after so many times of him bailing her out the chemistry was always insane with them but she never picked up on it yet the magnetic pull was too strong to ignore so he became her savior and doing everything he could to keep her out of trouble (not an easy task 😊) but does it all end with happiness?

S. Ann Cole is a new to me author, and I'll definitely be reading her previous & future work that's for sure. Lexi & Trent already developed the bond by the time this story took place, and he's always gotten her out of trouble as she seemed to be a magnet for it. He's the brother of her ex (which makes a tad complicated from that), and he's secretly loved her for a long time. Lexi has finally found herself in serious trouble, and Trent is going to save her but he's going to get something in return. I'm not saying he's awful because he made this book amazing, and I LOVED him from the jump, but he's finally going to make her his. This story was almost perfect in my eyes with the exception of Lexi, who drove me a little nuts with how clueless she could be about Trent but that's just me. That being said, I devoured this book in one sitting, and cannot wait to read more! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What can I say? I’m a sucker for a man obsessed. And a grump with a soft spot for her?🫠.
Trent and Lexi have known each other since childhood and grew up together as they were neighbours. Lexi left and didn’t look back after a bad breakup but had to move back years later as part of a repayment to Trent for getting her out of a bad situation. For Trent this finally gives him the time to work on getting Lexi to see him and to finally get what he wants, her. I really enjoyed this book. I liked both main characters for the most part, the spice was good, the relationship was sweet. I loved how he went for it and didn’t give up but also gave her the time and space she needed. Some of the things he said about her and to her just had hearts in my eyes, this man knew what he wanted and wasn’t scared to tell her. I’m so glad I picked this book up.

This dark romance was liberally peppered with mafia themes and filled with sweetly romantic moments as Trent finally made his feelings known to Lexi.
I really liked the way the author created a strong and totally lovable alpha hero in Trent. Lexi was a bit slow on the uptake and it took a while for her “AHA!” moment in realizing her love for Trent, but she was also easy to like.
Lots of memories that tied these two together that were sweetly romantic. I liked the way Torin, Trent, and Lorenzo had a special place in their hearts for Lexi.
It took a while for this couple to connect but I appreciated the lack of cheating and the satisfying HEA at the end!

The Right Garza is the right man in more ways than one
*** 4 1/2 Stars ***
The Right Garza is the first book in the Red Cage series. This is the first book I have read by S. Ann Cole so I was not sure what to expect and was very pleasantly rewarded for deciding to pick the book up. This story is a dark romance with Mafia, intrigue, complications, secrets, romance and love and redemption in the end. I enjoyed the author's writing and story-telling styles and how she developed both the story-line and the characters. Plus add in some amazing hot chemistry between the main characters, Trent and Lexi.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Trent and Lexi’s story. Lexi used to date Trent’s brother, until he was unfaithful, which had her distancing herself from this family. Trent always comes to Lexi’s aid when she needs him the most, but her latest caper is pushing his boundaries to the limit, and he has his own conditions after witnessing her latest disaster, and he insists she pay off her debt to him, and then she can go back to living a life of lies. This is a well written story which has romance, intrigue, mystery, suspense, redemption, family, humor, witty banter, friendships, crazy antics, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

The Right Garza by S. Ann Cole is a gripping romance that had everything you could want in dark mafia themed romance! It had mystery, fast paced intensity, intrigue and action packed twists and turns! Trent and Lexi had such hot burning chemistry, it darn near burned my tablet. This story was extremely well written, had strong much character development and an effortless and fluid storyline! This book is a page turning read that held my attention from the beginning to the end! I would highly recommend this story and keep a lookout for part 2!

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Trent and Lexi have known each other since they were younger. Trent has loved her thru the good and bad without her realizing it. He was always and continues to be there for her. Lexi sees him as her friend but realizes that he has always been more than that. Their story is complicated, has some surprises along with drama, family, acceptance and love. It was a good storyline that kept you wondering what would happen next.

Sometimes you can't see what is right in front of your face. That is certainly the case for Lexi. Trent has been her friend, savior, and always there for her. He is also head over heals for her and Lexi is a bit clueless. This time the trouble Lexi finds herself in is a lot more complicated. This book has action, steam, twists, turns, steam, and great, well written characters. I've not read anything else by S. Ann Cole, but I will be reading a lot more. Solid 4 Stars from me.

This is a Dark Mafia, and this is the first book in the Red Cage series. I found that this book starts off very slow, and I wanted more points of view from Trent because I found most of this book came from Lexi's point of view. I wanted more action and suspense, but I really loved the connection the characters had. I also loved getting to know all the characters in this book. I found this book to be a fun book to read, but it is not a super dark romance. This book just has a little bit of the Mafia and the dark stuff.

The Right Garza: Red Cage series by S. Ann Cole. Overall, I enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the dynamic between Trent and Lexi, it was a fast-paced story, but their chemistry was slow burning and passionate. Both characters are strong and genuine, and their story was easy to get sucked into as it flowed. Looking forward to reading more by this author with The Bronze Garza. Really enjoyed this story!!! It had it all - lots of feels, highs and lows, anxiety and tenderness, sex and danger. Trent was just so yummy and H-O-T hot! Lexi had her issues, understandable given her having to step up to provide for her mother when she was young. So good I didn’t want it to end while at the same time I wanted the happily after. Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Lexi grew up with the Garza brothers and even dated Tor in highschool until he ruined it, she distanced herself from the family but when she finds herself in trouble Trent Garza is there, he has always been there for her he loves her but she is clueless, now she will have to face those feelings, and whats to come from her actions, well written steamy, suspense, action, hot scenes, clueless love and more!

Having jumped in from the end and reading The True Garza first I decided I needed to jump back and start from the beginning. It wasn't necessary as they are standalones BUT I wanted to so I did and let me tell you I have not been disappointed. It is as intriguing as it is suspenseful and lets not forget the mystery.
S Ann Cole has now become one of those authors who I can't wait to see what she does next.
No spoilers here. You will have to read it for yourself.

A very enjoyable story that was an interesting and entertaining read. I felt the tension and drama as it played out. I thought the author wrote a story that was very intriguing and I hope to read more books from this author.
I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Good romance
I love books with happy endings this one didn't fail me. I've been binging on romance books a lot recently. Some I couldn't even finish. Due to how slow or dragged out things happened in the story. This is not one of those. This story had my attention riveted all the way through. I enjoyed it. I hope you do too.

I would definitely recommend. Picked it up free in the kindle store and it did not disappoint, but it did keep me in suspense at certain times. This is Trent's & Lexi's story and oh my god I am so here for it. Timing is indeed everything. Btw...Trent is a twin ;) (but I'm not going to tell you which brother is the twin). Go. READ. Now!

This is a gripping romance that has mystery, intrigue and twists. Trent and Lexi have intense chemistry. This story has so much character development. Overall this is a page turning read that held my attention.

October 22, 2021I'm crying because after patiently waiting for forever I wanted a better series then this from the author after Jaheel. And because this is a series I see there is no chance in the near future. Nothing special about the book or characters really. I'm so upset. Forever Saskia/Jaheel fan.
