So far, in my experience, Thanksgiving books tend to use one of the following strategies in discussing Wampanoag peoples are their involvement in the first Thanksgiving: 1. ignore them entirely, 2. mention them, but focus almost entirely on the Pilgrims, 3. tell a colonized story that includes stereotypes/ myths. This book uses method 2.
