It's good for a beginning reader. My son loves construction vehicles and could more or less decode this to read to me so it served its purpose. The illustrations are pleasant, the book is just really simple.

A fun read for your kindergarten - lots of snap/sight words without the obnoxious rhyming or tongue twisters you often find in other easy reading books.

This level 1 reader features a blue truck, a green truck, and a red dump truck going up a hill and back down, until the red truck gets stuck in the mud. His truck pals are there to help him, though, and soon the dump truck is free from the mud. Pre-readers and beginning readers will be able to tackle this colorful book using sight words and context clues.
