I really like this series of beginning reader's books. The names of the kids are weird (I mean, a girl named Biff?!?), but my son doesn't seem to mind. They are short, but not too short or basic and the stories are interesting and funny. What I like best about them are the suggestions of what to pay attention to in this particular book (i.e. the phonics and sight words) and also ideas for comprehension questions and games based on the text that you can play with your child.

In this one they discover a door to a room in the home that they just moved into, which had been wallpapered over. Very mysterious!

Title: Mysterious Disappointment - A Review of "The Secret Room"
"The Secret Room" attempts to draw readers into a world of intrigue and suspense, but unfortunately, it falls short of delivering a coherent narrative. The first half of the book feels like a disjointed collection of ideas rather than a smoothly unfolding story. The characters, particularly the children, have names that seem more whimsical than fitting, making it difficult to connect with them or take their adventures seriously.
As I continued reading, I found myself increasingly frustrated by the lack of clarity and direction. Key plot points felt confusing and were often left hanging, creating a sense of bewilderment rather than suspense. By the time I reached the ending, I was left scratching my head in disbelief at how unsatisfying and nonsensical it felt. Rather than tying up loose ends, it seemed to raise more questions than it answered.

While there may be moments of potential within the pages of "The Secret Room," they are overshadowed by the overall lack of a compelling narrative. This book might appeal to readers who enjoy abstract concepts and surreal storytelling, but for those looking for a meaningful plot, it is likely to be a disappointing read. Overall, "The Secret Room" could benefit from a clearer vision and stronger character development to truly captivate its audience

In this story children pulled off the wallpapers and suddenly found a secret door. The door was closed, they opened the door and they saw a secret room. In this room, there was a mini house. There are three children and a dog which looked like floppy. The children were shocked to see the mini house.

I like this book very much, and I read again and again. because it has a copy of the house and the children.
