This book of poems is by a professor who teaches me at UMKC. I can't wait to get a copy.

This was fabulous! I am sort of prejudiced because she is my teacher. I still generously admire this collection and recommend it.

I picked this up at a book trade (preferring to take a chance on free poetry collections, as I do not know how to find poetry collections I will like with the same skill with which I can find novels, and hate being disappointed by a book for which I paid money) and I feel meh meh meh meh meh about it. So meh meh meh. It was alright. It didn’t say much. Often, it seemed to try too hard for such little return—like someone who works 60-hour weeks just to keep their credit card balances at a steady state.

But, I suppose, some people write poetry, and others are poets.

A visceral and beautiful collection of poetry. I absolutely adore the imagery evoked in this collection
