Award-winning, international bestselling author Nicole Conway writes action-packed young adult urban and epic fantasy adventures. When she's not writing about quirky characters, magical battles, and loyal dragon companions, she spends her time tabletop gaming and crafting cosplay costumes.

If you haven't read the entire Dragonrider books from Chronicles through Legacy and the first 6 books of Heritage, especially all the epilogues (multiple epilogues at end of book 4 are important to understand some relationships in book 5), you need to at least read books 5&6 of Heritage. You'll still be a bit at sea, though. So, best to read them all. And have a box of tissues handy.
This book starts from Jaevid's pov, a day or two after the ball that took place in book 5. His worry made me want to reach through the pages and tell him Maylea was with Reigh and she was alright. The story gets you hooked quick. The story reverts to present time, just after book 6, from Reigh's pov.
The story is fast paced, action packed. Full of comedy and drama. Poor Reigh seems to be the butt of the author's sense of humor. Hahaha.
The story is told from multiple pov's, which keeps the reader up to date with almost every group's story, and keeps the story moving quickly. (I finished it in 2 days).
There is no "hanging by your fingernails" cliffhanger but, the story has one more book to go. And I really can't wait for it.
The author is a master of enthralling storytelling. She fleshes out her characters in each book so that the reader gets attached to each individual’s personality- including the dragons! There is enough mystery and twists and turns to entrance the reader. These characters feel like friends and I am an unseen presence along for the journey! I am glad there are additional series in this fantastic world of magic, intrigue, and brave, loyal people evolving from teens to wise benevolent competent adults.
Paladin is another exciting book in the Dragonrider Heritage series. This book has multiple POVs which makes it easy to follow what is happening in various parts of this world. I love the story building and am really looking forward to the rest of the series to see how all of the moving parts will click together.

An amazing read for middle age and up! There are so many loveable characters that even adults can relate to the story and enjoy the plot. The book is well-thought-out, and it is so easy to immerse yourself in the fantasy world. Between dragons, pirates, epic battles, and touching friendships, you'll never want to put it down!
This boom starts off a bit slow, BUT, as some of the OG characters get reintroduced, the story comes back to life. Highly recommended, I eagerly look forward to the next book!
Well isnt he finally stepping into his own. I wonder how Garrett is going to react? Will we see father and daughter reunited in the next book? I cantnwait to find out! To book 8!
A great story! Loved every book in these series! A wonderful world of creatures and characters living in so many different kingdoms, makes for a fascinating read!
