The story of the legendary bomber raid on Tokyo led by Jimmy Doolittle and his Raiders. This was the first US strike on Japan after the tragedy at Pearl Harbor.
This top secret mission marked the first time a B25 took off from a Navy Aircraft Carrier and was the element of surprise in the attack. The Japanese were aware of a possible attack but never thought bombers would be used due to their flight range.
The raid was a success but some of the men were lost and tortured as Japanese prisoners. Jimmy Doolittle was promoted to Two Star General and awarded The Medal of Honor for his heroics and bravery.
