It seems unlikely that all of the conversations in this book were words spoken in reality since there were no recording devices in the 1700s and detailed accounts of each meeting were probably not kept. In the absence of any other biographies of Moshoeshoe, though, this one will have to do. It mainly covers battles with other tribes and with the Boers and cattle thefts, with a bit of personal information thrown in.
