Though not a delightful read aloud (meant for emergent readers) it is a living book. I believe this is a part of the Vintage Childhood of Famous Americans series, but perhaps not. It reads like one of the COFAs.

I knew next to nothing about GRC, so this was a perfect intro. He was friends with Thomas Jefferson and older brother to William Clark. 🥰 He fought in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. I am so grateful these stories have been preserved over time.
