A Run For The Money

Rate this book
Nicole Fleming and Dante LaPalma have nothing in common except an old man's legacy. Joe Corbet has promised that a great treasure awaits them--if they're clever enough to solve his riddles within a six-month time frame, that is. According to Joe's will, Nicole and Dante must participate in several excursions. After each adventure, a new clue will be presented that will lead them to their next obstacle. Only when they've completed every task can they discover the treasure meant just for them. Along the way, Nicole and Dante are forced to share their secrets and place their faith in one another. If they can learn to work together, they'll discover what's truly important in life. And maybe, if they're lucky, they'll find the greatest treasure of all: love.

"A Run For The Money" is a great reminder that sometimes a treasure is not gold or cash, but something much more special. Dante and Nicole are thrown together for a treasure hunt at the reading of a will for his Grandpa and her Stepfather. They have animosity towards each other for different reasons but quickly realize if they plan on getting the treasure at the end, then they will have to work together or they both will lose it. Dante is spurred on by his trouble with his ex wife, and Nicole is by her own mother... two very hateful women.

This is a very engaging story that will have you enjoying their hunt and cheering them on. It's a happy ever after story and does not anything stronger than some hot kisses. But it's a very satisfying read that will leave a smile on your face.

A good twist on the ole' "Do this to inherit" will stipulations. Loved the witty banter and the character development in this one!

There was a twist to this romance that I liked. Dante and Nicole were good characters and then search for the treasure was a good plot. Characters were well drawn and issues of divorce and split families was at the front.

Life's changes

This is a good book about two peoples lives that were comprised at an early age by their families. Their characters were developed as the story progressed and I learned to like them all. I would recommend this book.
