Ultimate Book of Small Gardens

Rate this book
From an internationally famous writer on horticulture comes the bible on cultivating small gardens. It provides a master class on design, hard landscaping, choosing essential plants, growing fruits and vegetables, combating pests and diseases, and solving common problems caused by space limitations. Work with a new garden or transform an existing one; plant with a "garden theme"; and use the illustrated directory to choose the best trees, shrubs, and flowers to create your own miniature Eden.

I found the gardening ideas at the beginning of the book quite useful and inspiring, but there's just too much information packed into this book. The small sections of disease, pruning, and random plants were overkill. I would have much preferred ideas of planting combinations.

As someone who has been serious about gardening for years, I found the information too general, but interesting. The photography was excellent and very enjoyable to imagine in my gardens.
