Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.
I found the concept mildly interesting but didn't quite agree with Jones' conclusions. Jones did a good job of not going into any long scientific explanations for the processes used in this future setting. He allowed you to understand enough about the underlying processes being used on the test subjects with just a few words. It's fortunate he did this because the long drawn out pseudo-science details common to early pulp Sf wouldn't have added anything but more pages. Although it is a short novel the one idea didn't seem big enough to keep it going.
