A good biography of arguably the finest of Scotland's Christians, not only does Stanford Reid tell us about the life of Knox, but he explains the situations of sixteenth century Europe too.
One downpoint that I found was that I sometimes had trouble telling the difference between Mary of Guise and Mary Queen of Scots.
Apart from that, a very good biography.
