Mountaineer Dreams: True Love Stands Strong
Take a journey through the history of the mountain state as the War Between the States separates Nancy Logans state and town, putting her brothers life in jeopardy and a Quaker doctor in a dangerous position. To give his grandmother her dying wish, Neil McCoy must marry, but he has little hope that a sane woman would respond to an ad for a bride in 1916. The Second World War enters Lucy Blands backyard when soldiers come to train for rock climbing, led by a particularly handsome captain. Can love withstand the battles that rage within these couples hearts?

Surprisingly, the story with the most absurd premise was the most fun to read. Otherwise, standard romance fare.

Enjoyed it for the WV history. Didn't read the 3rd novella.

This book did nothing for me, but I finished it. I got it only because the stories took place in West Virginia. I should have saved my money. They are all three historical fiction novellas; only the first is even remotely researched, although the last does indicate the author knows something about rock climbing. This was actually my bathroom book for a few months, which tells you how good it is!

These stories take place in West Virginia. One during the Civil War, one around 1916 and the last one during World War II. All are well written. Good clean stories.
