This had the same magic as The Golden Fleece did. It follows the whole family as they flee war-torn Austria and later Spain. I did get confused a couple times since many people have the same names (how many franz josefs were running around then exactly?) It feels more like a novel than a history book, making it impossible to put down.

A charmingly written look at one branch of the Hapsburg family in the early 20th century. I quite enjoyed it.
