This wasn't an easy book to find, I had to special order it. It was worth the hunt and the wait.
I had been looking for a book that documented Black Women Photographers. The meet my expectations plus some. It also was one of the books that inspired me to start a women of color photography group called My Sisters & Me.

Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe is a blessing, taking the time...putting in the effort to discover and share with black women photographers who have been there all the time. Our ancestors, their dreams...now being shared.

I reference this book all the time.
