Superb book
Very much like the anelects of Confucius or meditations of Marcus aurelius.
First published in 1751, reportedly a translation of an ancient sanskrit document found in potala palace Tibet.
The language is quite dated. Unfortunately the book is difficult to find.
I found this book at samata books in chennai, who is the publisher.
This book deserves to be a classic

Regarding the truth of the fantastical origin story, I have no idea. What I can say is, this may be the best, most approachable book of practical wisdom I have ever read.

I read this at Everest Base Camp 1, and I have to give it credit for at least 50% of my elation to be there. Of course, there was altitude involved as well....
