This is not an amazing collection. There are some interesting essays/travelogues on South Africa and there are also some really dry essays. I picked this up prior to a trip to South Africa and I enjoyed it as an education on the country and the landscape and the people and the history. But unless you have a strong interest in South Africa, it will probably not be a very engaging read.
