Humans, having been driven by the Cylons from the last surviving colonies in the universe and hoping to find Earth, their last chance for help, must battle the destructive Cylons again from their craft in space.
I got this when I was young and watching the original tv series in the late 1970’s. It’s basically a children’s book based on the first two episodes. It’s a nostalgic piece for me now.
I picked this up in a vintage store on a whim, basically. I'd never seen the original Battlestar Galactica but love both children's books, vintage books, and the new Battlestar Galactica, so decided to check this out. I have to say it's almost painfully funny to read, though the book isn't meant to be humorous at all. It's just, there's no real graphic design to this book at all - there's just stills from the show next to words! And the colors are dark and muddy, and the pictures aren't particularly well chosen to go with the words. I was floored. Worth buying for the nostalgia value alone, but man, I am so glad children's books/media companion books have improved since 1979.
