An older book on the subject with plans, with photos in some cases, which means that they aren't pure fiction. While this style of structure is still practical, I'm not sure if the buildings in this text would meet current standards.

while the above ground parts seem pretty good as far as I can tell with my limited knowledge. The footings are outdated. People don't put wood in the ground anymore since it rots away, instead the code is to make concrete footings with a bottom flange, and the footing concrete ends 15cm or so above grade to minimize rotting from splash back.
Of course can also use moonwood to minimize rot as well, which you should be doing with any kind of construction.
