Amelia Bedelia Celebration, An: Four Stories Tall with Audio CD

Rate this book
For nearly half a century, Amelia Bedelia has been turning ordinary tasks into extraordinary fun.

Amelia Bedelia draws the drapes with a pencil and sketchpad. She makes sponge cake with a real sponge.

She recruits a train conductor to lead an orchestra. And when she's driving toward a fork in the road, she's also on the lookout for a spoon.

You can count on the well-meaning Amelia Bedelia to take things to hilariously literal extremes. But you can also count on her putting her heart and friendship into everything she does—and always having a scrumptious cake or pie ready to share at the end of a long day.

This book includes four of Amelia Bedelia's most beloved adventures; a CD to listen to while you read; and recipes, games, and more.

This book is hilarious! It is actually written for anyone in the family. There's something for everyone in it. There are 4 complete storybooks, 8 puzzles and brainteasers, 2 recipes that Amelia cooks up for you, and 4 craft activities to engage in! What more could you want? She gets all mixed up with homophones, metaphors, and idioms.
The first book introduces you to Amelia Bedelia. One book has her "attempting" to do things on her list from Mrs. Rogers, her employer. Look out when Mr. Rogers tries to teach Amelia to drive! The last involves music, and Amelia bringing their chosen conductor to the concert. Do you think she does?
A funny, funny book. I love all of her stories.

These books are silly and quick reads. Amelia Bedelia is always getting herself in to quite a mess. It is definitely a lesson in what you say vs what you hear!
