This book provides so much applicable information in such a small package that it's astounding. At some point I'm going to sit down and take notes on everything in it, because it really did educate me on some of how the mind works and ways to work with it to remember more.
Simple prose with a straightforward layout, it goes over everything from remembering spelling to names to events to speeches, good methods to use when trying to remember something, and multiple examples from history and (at the time) contemporary figures. It also cites 83 different studies and sources for them, along with an index. The verbage and sentence structures are a touch dated, but all the info inside is, as far as I know, still factual and applicable.
I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone who has an interest in exploring more of how their mind works and how to make it work more to their advantage. Students, scholars, hobbyists, etc- everyone has memory, and this book has the applicable theories, concepts, and practices to allow a determined individual to progress in the field of memory.
