Disjointed story. Action scenes are forgettable. Comedy is okay but wouldn't consider it a comedy manga. Characters are underdeveloped. Art is pretty good but doesn't stand out to me. Interesting idea though.

This book was adorable! It kinda reminded me of Rurouni Kenshin but super silly and if all the characters were like 16ish lol always love a secret badass 💜

fun premise, lovely art and character design, but the story telling needs some work. I found the beginning to quite confusing, not just with dialogue bubbles, but just introduction of the characters and their roles. I does get more interesting toward the third chapter with the entrance of Shikki, the Turtle. The last two chapters are where we finally get some answers on why he has to have chili peppers to function. Let's hope the second volume is more engaging.

You can totally tell this comic was originally published in short segments because the story is very disjointed. It's really just a series of episodes rather than something coherent. Not bad, but I prefer a more cohesive storyline.

Some of the art decisions made in the book turned out rather poorly, particularly related to transparencies in speech baloons

It's cute, and sometimes silly; a light, quick read on an afternoon off.
