This is a decent beginner's book into systems analysis. I've used it for three classes and it has proven quite useful when it came time to applying what I had read. When I first got this book I thought it was going to be pretty useless since I felt there was no way it was as in depth material wise as I would have liked, but I was happily surprised by how useful the lessons were. The most important lesson I've learned is how important visually showing a flow diagram is and how to make one. There have been other lessons but I don't want to give too much away haha. It can get pretty boring at times because some topics are more interesting than others but that's quite common in textbooks. Honestly I would have liked more visuals in the book when it explains how to visually present topics instead of just talking/explaining to someone else then but that is just personal preference. This book may prove very useful to information systems and computer science students so it is worth a read for anyone interested in those fields of study.

This book is not up to snuff. The Kendalls skim the mobile analysis and design in favor of focusing on enormous systems. It's a good basic book, but the 2014 edition (which is QUITE expensive) should be more relevant to what most of us are actually going to be doing.

This book was interesting, in that it showed me that an entire industry was created from what I did in the I.T. field a few years back. Just wish I'd thought about it in an academic framework, I'd be rich.
