Now we have the answer as to why most books are illustrated and don’t include photography. This thing is a primary source from another era entirely. However, the locations we find music haven’t changed as much as fashion and technology.

Moral: Music is everywhere!

Length: Quite possibly one of the shortest books Mavis and I have read together. Let’s go listen to music instead!

Favorite Line: The whole book is technically one long sentence. So I won’t spoil this book’s tune here.

Overall impression: This is a fine book/concept that was left unaided by the ancient photos. Without taking a trip to the library, I can already tell you there are much more powerful children’s books to make the point that music is everywhere. But this was a hand-me-down that we’ll keep because it’s not offensive, reminds us that music can transcend decades, and (maybe most importantly) is a book Mavis can rip to pieces as we read and I’ll hold no guilt.

If you'd like to remember what was considered a fashionable thing to wear in the early 1990s, this is the book for you.
