My favorite of all the Kristina biographies so far. Quite a contrary portrayal to the movie of the same era starring Greta Garbo, _Queen Christina_.

Three stars only bc of the gay love letters included (tragic) and how absolutely brutal this author was.

“Christina was fuck ugly and depressed with no style, and only made about two friends throughout her life because she was intolerable, actually sickening to be around. She was in love with Ebba Sparre, but Sparre didn’t love her back because she was only interested in status and really didn’t have two brain cells to put together and form a thought. Throughout Christina’s entire life searching endlessly for knowledge, she failed to create an original idea even once. She died having accomplished nothing.”
