Somehow I had a problem believing the MCs loved each other. They met by way of a misunderstanding. Lord Alexander eventually apologized for his behavior but he could have done a better job. I liked Kate at the beginning of the story but her behavior was either foolish, whiny or immature the longer I read. The Marquess was no better, he literally ran away for two years. When he finally returned to England after his time abroad, he met Kate again and they sparred with each other once again. It was the last page before Kate believed he loved her.
