Sights set on their next target, Kaito, Minnalis, and Shuria travel to the city of Kabanheim, where they find Minnalis’s traitorous childhood friends leading carefree lives. But soon the partners in crime come across someone not even Kaito could have predicted—a woman named Leone who was also summoned from Earth. Still possessed of her morals, Leone attempts to interfere with their rampage of revenge…but there's no stopping Minnalis from exacting vengeance on the people who doomed her to slavery and caused the death of her mother.
Ok, it was pretty good and dark as usual. I feel like the series already has a lot of ground to cover so I’m not sure why it was necessary to add a reincarnated character when we could be getting more revenge with those pages instead. Also, I have mixed feelings on how this one ended but I’ll maintain optimism that it leads to something entertaining.
I really enjoyed this one. It called some things into question and the cliffhanger is making me look forward to the next volume. I hope it comes out soon.
I was on the fence with this series at the beginning, everything was excessive and it seemed like characters were just evil to be evil, but this is the volume where I really started getting into the story. The side characters acting as a sort of moral conscience to the main trio was something that could've been handled much worse.
In retrospect, the ending was maybe alluded to, but it still caught me off-guard
