This book would be a great starting point for someone just getting into true crime, or who likes to have a superficial summary of famous cases, but if like me you enjoy the depth of cases, from the offender's background, to the police investigation, to the trial, and the psychology behind it, then this book is nowhere near comprehensive enough.
I also found there to be quite a few inaccuracies in the recollections of the crimes which cross-reference as wrong compared to every other report I have read, suggesting the author has just recalled the cases from their memory with no substantial research.
The final section of the book as well was not really "true crime" but rather acts committed during world wars, and conspiracies regarding the assassination of JFK and a murder committed by Stalin (as if there was only ever one!!) which I found to not really fit with the purpose of the book. Whilst they are indeed terrible events to occur, they don't fit well in a book pitched as a collection of serial killer cases.
Definitely would not recommend to anyone looking for a comprehensive, accurate look at some well known, infamous cases.

I liked this book it was short but it have the overall consensus of what happened in each case. I do like it when there is backstory and more information in general but I did enjoy this very much for a quick read 🥰.
