Excellent introduction to Nature Study. I needed something to walk me through what it looks like, as well as something I can fall back on when I get bored with what we are currently doing. This book was tremendous in giving both of those aspects to me! I really enjoy Charlotte perspective and thoughts on getting children, and adults alike, out into nature. I can’t wait to put all of these new ideas into practice with my own family.

I can only imagine the hours of work that went into putting this book together!

Sonya and Karen have gathered all of Charlotte's nature study passages from across the six Volumes, and organized them by topic/category. With the helpful additions of translations, definitions of words that are somewhat archaic and likely to be unfamiliar, and website addresses for additional information/ideas, this compilation is an amazing resource to have at hand.

Especially helpful for those of us who haven't yet read all six Volumes, we can see all of Charlotte's written thoughts and advice on Nature Study in one place. This has been extremely edifying for me, and I'm so grateful it has been created!
