And they finally get the bad guy - three books later. And a few others from previous books appear. I have said before Izzy is simply the best too, interesting back story, every one gets a second chance. But live in the now. That message was loud and clear. I almost wanted to go on a cruise ship too. And that will never happen. ;) (I will not be the one to grope the men - who knew that was a big problem?) I think this author had a great deal of research fun = at least I hope so. Carpe bloody diem.
These stories are an excellent read. Most military SEAL types are flat, one dimensional heroes protecting shy weak traditional females. Boring. These alpha males are genetically enhanced superheroes with humorous dialogues and each love interest is an unconventional strong female. Definitely worth a read.
The book was enjoyable, personally I could have done without the descriptive sex scenes, but that is the beauty of skimming and scanning. I will definitely seek out more books by this author. I enjoyed Summer's complexity, but felt that there was a lot left unexplained about her character, probably to encourage new books with her character. I do not understand how Cara registered as an abortion, but had a son that she gave her sister. And, if her sister is infertile, how did she conceive her other two sons? I felt that part of the ending was a little rushed while the whole Gabe/Summer part was dragged out.
I love this series by Christina Skye. Each story stands on it's own but when reading them all, the story is only enhanced. These are fast paced and quite edgy. In my opinion, these stories are for adult readers.
