Quite hilarious: one superstition battling another superstition. I would have given it four stars for the amusement, but the sad lives of the children owned by each sect changed the score.

Yikes - what a trial to get through this! First of all, I didn't realize what homeopathy was, so I didn't realize really what I was getting into. I thought it was just natural remedies....not really using essentially essence of scorpion! I'm not necessarily ruling it out, I just need to figure out what I think about it.



p. 49 "Furthermore, some people taking stimulant medication suffer from side effects. The most common are decreased appetite, weight loss, insomnia, motor tics (as in Tourette's disorder), and short-term growth retardation. Some parents report other side effects, including headaches, stomachaches, increased heart rate or blood pressure, drowsiness, social withdrawal, irritability and moodiness, and involuntary movements and sounds. Stimulant medication for ADHD may be contraindicated for people with seizures, liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, and tic disorders. Although conventional medical opinion is that stimulants are relatively safe and effective, the possible side effects may be enough to convince you to choose another path.
