This is a great comprehensive book. It gives a thorough explanation of homeopathy, though it is more classical method and does not acknowledge other methods. It gives a good description of each body system and a nice description of the differences between the remedies that may help the various conditions.

The book is well organized and covers most conditions your animal may face. I think it is valuable reading for anyone interested in homeopathy . The first 100 pages can relate to people as well as animals.

It will be a valuable reference on my shelf.

Good guide to use of homeopathic treatments, but I could have done without the anecdotal alarmist section about the horrors of vaccines. Based on SCIENCE, it seems that the veterinary community is over-vaccinating animals, but let’s face facts- vaccines save lives, human AND animal. And homeopathy CANNOT provide immunity to, say, rabies. (It also can’t cure it. Just sayin’.)

The truth is that homeopathy and other so-called alternative therapies can exist alongside allopathic medicine and work in a complimentary fashion. Encouraging people to forego allopathic treatment especially for critically ill patients in favor of homeopathy that “might” work is extremely stupid. Better to find a balance by using what works best instead of some emotional “belief” that allopathic medicine is bad and homeopathy is good.

Bottom line? Take it all with a grain of salt. I have used several treatments suggested in this book to SUPPORT my pets when they deal with minor health issues, but for the big things, I go to a (holistic) veterinarian.

Mostly good info. Definitely good addition to my other homeopathy books. I will say, I haven't finished it. I have read several chapters looking for needed info. Which unfortunately I didn't find. I am looking for help with urethral prolapse and cherry eye. Neither of which are in this book.
I found the chapter on reproduction to be unnecessarily judgy.
I also was put off by many topics broached but then ended with- 'you need to see a homeopath so I won't put any treatment info here. ' Well why even bring it up??
I do have an IBD dog, so hoping this book will help me decide which remedy to use when she has another flare up.

Must have reference book for homeopathic care for dogs and cats. I’ve also consulted with Dr Hamilton for treatment of my pets- the healing was dramatic. The beginning and end chapters of the book give you a great understanding of what homeopathy is, how to use it, and a newer more evolved way of thinking about and treating animals as sentient beings, and how we are connected on an energetic level.

A wealth of information not available from conventional vets. Invaluable for complementary therapies for pets with health issues.
