Fairly thorough and in-depth discussion of design of sports/racing cars in the early 1960s. Types of frames from ladder to unitary, suspensions crude to quite refined. Cars discussed include Lotus Mk 8, Lotus Formula One, Nineteen, 25... Lister-Jaguar (which author Costin had a large hand in), Lola Sports, C and D-Jaguars, Cooper Monaco, rear-engine Ferrari, Maserati 60/61. Road holding. Types of joints. Wishbones. Tyre Pressures. Stress and Suspension calculations. Wonderfully clear writing and illustrations. Cars today look very different but here is the foundation of modern sports/racing cars.
