I've had this book since at least 2009 and assumed it was lost in the ashes of one of my failed relationships since then. Imagine my surprise when I unearthed it while cleaning a couple days ago.

Flipping through it, I wonder how many of the places have gone out of business since I bought it. The Spam and Doritos pizza at Il Spazio still has the car wreck appeal that it did when I purchased the book aeons ago.

I bought the book with grand visions of weekend food-themed road trips. As near as I can tell, I've only been to eight of them. 8% is failure no matter how you slice it.

My resolution for 2015 is to visit eight more! 16% is still failure but at least it's not a blowout.

Lots of great dining!
If you are traveling in the Missouri area and enjoy eating experiences, this would be a good book to have.
I was very pleasantly surprised to see quite a few places that I either knew of or that were in my area. We are such a small community that often we are overlooked! But my actual town was listed in the top five, so that was very neat!
Best things about this book is that every restaurant listed is described very well with like decor and of course the types of food and what is best. But also very handy is a whats nearby section at the bottom of each restaurants page and this tells you what is nearby of interest which if you are sightseeing is particularly nice.
Not the best thing is that in the how do I get there section, the city itself isn't always listed and though it seems to be listed in most all of the descriptions, it isn't always clear to me what the city is.
I was sad that the restaurant listed for our town actually closed down many, many years ago....so that is absolutely not to be held against the book though, at the time it was written #4 was going strong. I would say that this book has many great suggestions for dining and I have already found one that is fairly nearby that I have heard about over the years that I plan to try to soon. My suggestion is that you check online or call to make sure your chosen destination is still open or hasn't moved locations.

Good book, I’m going to have to get a copy to leave in the RV.
I’m disappointed that it is not made clear on each page what city/town/area of the state the restaurant is in. Driving directions don’t help if you don’t know exactly what town they are in.
