Tripper and Sam go to the Haunted moors, for some Scooby Doo type stuff.

I read the first two when I was in middle school and enjoyed them. Did not know about this one until I was an adult. Was disappointed in the mystery. Plus adult me wanted Tripper & Sam to hook up.
