Tall, Dark & Dangerous #1-3
Tall, Dark and Dangerous Collection Volume 1: Prince Joe / Forever Blue / Frisco's Kid
3 Bestsellers-Reprinted by popular demand
Prince Joe
Veronica St. John is facing the challenge of a lifetime. The media consultant has two days to teach a rugged Navy SEAL to impersonate a European prince who has been targeted by terrorists. It's a tough assignment, but Veronica is sure she's up to the task -- until she actually meets Joe.
Despite his physical resemblance to the handsome prince, Lieutenant Joe Catalanofto is nothing like the stuffy aristocrat. Everything about the combat-hardened Navy SEAL -- from the arrogant gleam in his eyes and streetwise attitude to the New York accent -- says regular guy, not royalty. One conversation and Veronica knows nothing could turn this military man into nobility. Joe, on the other hand, is confident he's got what it takes to complete his duty.
But neither of them expects their assignment to include falling in love . . .
Forever Blue
Blue McCoy was once the hero of Lucy Tait's teenaged dreams -- quiet, dart and dangerous. After high school he left Hatboro Creek, South Carolina, to join the military. Years later, now a Navy Seal, Blue was a man who embodied all of Lucy's fantasies. Now Blue is back in town, and Lucy is not the person he remembered. She's a no-nonsense police officer -- and a woman Blue can't take his eyes off. But then Blue is accused of murder. And Lucy is assigned his case. Now their brief affair has became part of an extensive investigation, where what's at stake is critical -- Blue's future . . . and maybe Lucy's heart.
Frisco's Kid
She couldn't mend his wounded body . . . but could she heal his heart? Being a navy SEAL is more than a career to Alan "Frisco" Francisco -- it is his whole identity. But now a bullet has threatened that existence. How can he function in combat when he can barely walk? Still, despite the doctor's warnings, Frisco is determined to achieve a full recovery. But the unexpected appearance of his abandoned niece leaves Frisco with little time for anything but dealing with the five-year-old girl. He knows even less about parenting than about how to mend his broken body. And there is no way he's going to accept offers of help from his neighbor Mia Summerton. He doesn't need anyone's help . . . not to care for his niece, not to learn to accept his limitations and certainly not to fall in love.

An amazing read!
Suzanne Brockmann’s Tall, Dark, and Dangerous Collection Volume 1, is series about Seal Team Ten’s heroic and amazing men; and the equally fierce and brilliant women that they fall in love with.
In the first novel, ‘Prince Joe,’ we meet the Alpha Squad’s captain, Lieutenant Joseph ‘Cat’ Catalanotto and Veronica St. John... two fascinating characters, and share in their journey. It is an incredibly riveting and heartwarming read!
‘Forever Blue,’ is the second novel, in the Tall, Dark, and Dangerous series. It is a wonderfully written and suspenseful read... Lucy Tait’s character is brilliant! She is a witty, no nonsense, BadA$$; And Lieutenant Carter ‘Blue’ McCoy is the whole package, insecurities and all, bless his heart. Theirs’ is a whirlwind of adventures and passion... I throughly enjoyed their story!
The third novel, in this collection is, ‘Frisco’s Kid,’ which is an amazingly, heartbreaking, and inspiring read! The storyline and characters are beautifully written. The depth, of Lieutenant Alan “Frisco” Francisco’s fears, insecurities, and hope, came through so brilliantly across the pages of this novel; As did his strength and love. For only through Alan’s love for both Natasha and Mia, did he finally become whole again.

Fun read!
Suzanne Brockmann never fails to deliver a smile with her engaging characters that are easy to love and stories that are well developed. Definitely worth the price of admission and are great to re-read later.

A little dated but still really fun stories!
Lively, fun reads. The stories are good and characters incredibly likable. It's interacting to read a military perspective from before 9\11.

PRINCE JOE
This is the first in the Tall Dark and Dangerous (TDD) series, and it is not really one of my favourites. The first time that I started reading this series about 10 years ago, I accidentally started with, what was at the time, the last book in the series “Night Watch’, which is Wes Skelly’s story. I enjoyed that and so located all of the others and started at the beginning. I’m not sure, based in this book, that I would have continued with the series (but I’m glad I did). Rereading his again, it still didn’t engage my interest. I finished it because it sets the foundation for many of the books that follow.
Okay, enough rambling. Why didn’t I like this book? The royalty aspect felt awkward and unnatural. Joe Catalanotto (Joe Cat, our hero) and Veronica (Ronnie) St. John (our heroine) just didn’t engage me. They were both opinionated and patronizing about each other’s abilities. The plot was a bit thin and contrived. What I did enjoy was the way the secondary characters of SEAL Team 10 Alpha Squad were introduced and the connection between them all. This is something that Suzanne Brockmann does well. If this wasn’t the first in the series and had important information for the rest of the series, I wouldn’t have finished it.
FOREVER BLUE
This is the second in this series and was a pleasure to reread. Our hero, Blue McCoy was a well-drawn character: quiet; loyal; strong; with a quick sense of humour. Our heroine, Lucy Tait was again a well-developed character. She is: direct; honest; strong; and determined to be successful in her new career as a Police Officer in the Hatboro police force. The plot was familiar, corrupt cops not properly investigating a murder, but it was well written and believable, something that Suzanne Brockmann is very good at. The chemistry between Lucy and Blue is strong and almost palpable. The secondary characters in Hatboro: Sarah Lucy’s best friend; Annabel, police dispatcher; Iris at Bobby Joe’s Grill; Jenny Lee Beaumont Blue’s ex-girlfriend and others are all well drawn and add to the plot. It moves along at a good pace, but it doesn’t feel rushed. The ending was a great finish, exciting, dramatic and believable.
FRISCO’S KID
This is number 3 in the TDD series and again a great read. Alan Francisco (Frisco, our hero) is a seriously injured SEAL and will never be an active operational SEAL again, and he is not happy with the world. Mia Summerton (our heroine) is his neighbour, and is a positive, supportive and encouraging person. They clash over Frisco’s attitude to the world and his life, but his young niece Tasha brings them together. Suzanne Brockmann has again managed to put together a good book. The plot was well crafted, you could almost feel Frisco’s pain and anger. The characters were believable with depth to them, and Tasha was cute but not precocious. The ending was just right for the book, I did enjoy rereading this book.

Okay, I should just admit that I love everything Brockmann writes. She just has this way of touching my soul with her writing. Nearly broke my heart when Joe told her 'You don't have to be seen in public with me.' Beautiful stories.
