I am a bit biased, because one of my favorite thins to do is walk with my grandchildren. This bilingual book is really a treat. Lovely, painted scenes, and a sweet, but not syrupy conversation make this book one you'll enjoy with children over and over.

This sweet story will be loved by all who read it. A beautiful written book that shows how much joy can occur when you do something as simple as take a walk. It shows how to enjoy the little things as making a wish on a dandelion, skipping a rock, or sitting on a rock. As long as you are spending time with the ones you love you will be making memories of a life time.
The illustrations are so real to life that you can easily find yourself there in the pictures doing the same things as the Grandpa and granddaughter.

February 2, 2014The girl on the cover attracted my daughter's attention. She instantly saw herself and her grandfather in that image. There aren't a lot of words, but the illustrations are captivating, and we spent lots of time just looking at the imagery. The sentiments are heartfelt but expressed in a way that even young children would be able to embrace the feelings. It would make a lovely gift for a grandparent.

December 1, 2013I like the book because it shows us the lovely relationship between the grandfather and her granddaughter. They walk through the wood and at the same time they are playing an interesting game that show the way how they communicate their feelings. It is an easy book, very colorful, and it is in English and Spanish for my students to read.

Lovely story of a little girl and her grandpa taking a walk through the woods. Will work on a surface level for little ones and could be a wonderful example of metaphor for older students.

I used this book in particular to meditate and remain peaceful, despite the stresses of the day (just before lunch).
I think it was effective for this purpose.
