Victoria (h25) desperately needs a story or she’ll lose her job as a journalist, and comes up with the idea of tracking down Griffin (H38), a bestselling author who packed it all in and went off-grid to parts unknown. Unknown turns out to be a remote mountain cabin and Griffin rescues Victoria during a snowstorm by taking her back to said cabin, not knowing why she’s really there. Things quickly heat up between the young woman and the grumpy mountain man author, but Victoria isn’t sure how to confess her secret to Griffin. Hot and sexy OMYW romantic quickie with some minor relationship angst.

I liked this story more than I expected to. The premise was a lot of fun. A journalist fighting for her job. An author is hiding for unknown reasons. I loved the added suspense of why is he hiding and what happened to his family. I liked the tension between them as well. There is a lot of build up to when they finally give in to their attraction. Of course lies are lies and come to the surface eventually which causes problems for them. I liked how everything played out and really loved the ending!.

Grumpy Christmas Mountain Man
For one of the longer "short, slightly longer romance" stories I have read recently, I am sorry to give this such a low rating.
This story spends time familiarizing its main characters as well as its primary story line. But maybe I am too much of a stickler for proper spelling and grammar to maintain my interest in a book. This story would have gotten at least a 4 or 41/2 rating if I didn't have to re-read sentences adding and subtracting words and phrases in order to make them correct and make sense.
Overall, it can be a pleasant book to read.

Excellent Erotica!
Ms. Vee has written several stories that keep drawing me back to her prose. She knows how to create erotica worth reading, both short and long lengths. She never fails to structure believable, reasonable, stories with that zing of erotica! I'm not a fan of rote pornography, which becomes boring very quickly!For a good read, check her out! Enjoy!

Sign me up for a mountain man
The story was very good it was fast moving and very descriptive. I enjoyed all the character developments and the chemistry between the 2 main characters. I can't wait to read something else from this author.

I was expecting the spice. What I wasn't expecting was the amount of plot in such a quick read. It was such a good story and the spice was the cherry on top. Grumpy, age-gap, forced proximity; yes please.

Grumpy mountain man entrapped
Victoria dishonestly, almost losing her life, encroaches on Griffin’s life. She is a journalist about to lose her job. To save it she decides to write a story about Griffin. Good troupe but I found her initial dishonesty jarring. Insta love ❤️.

Grumpy
This could have been a five star review but the grammar errors were bad enough to be noticeable. Absolutely great characters and a great story. The steamy scenes are extremely steamy, hubba hubba!

Victoria is a journalist who travels to Alaska to get the story on an author named Griffin, who has doesn't talk to the media. There is drama and lots of heat in this entertaining book.

I got this as a joke book for my book club book exchange. It was a joke of a book so I decided to read it with a comedy voice so I was at least able to laugh a lot. Definitely not my genre.

Super cute story. Decent smut. But the grammar errors made it hard to read. It was a quick, simple read…but there were so many grammatical errors it was annoying. The story line was fairly predictable too, but not terrible.
