I knitted two bears using this book. You knit different size squares and sew them into shapes to form the toy. If you can do the basic knit stitch and have the patience to sew the squares together, you have a toy. My first two bears turned out not perfect and did not look like the picture in the book, but I think if I make more they'll look better. Regardless, they are greatly loved.

Easy soft toys that require basic knitting skills and some sewing afterwards to assemble. For my part, I think some of the pieces would be easier just knit to the appropriate shape in the first place and finishing is my least favourite part of knitting but would be a great way to introduce someone to knitting and finishing. Also to use up oddments of yarn.
