A self-made millionaire shows you how to make millions while living life on your own terms At just eighteen years old, Matt Morris founded his first marketing business. It was then that he made a life-changing decision to re-invent himself and his career. By twenty-nine, Matt was a self-made millionaire. How did he do it? In The Unemployed Millionaire , Morris reveals how he turned his life around and shatters the myth that it takes money to make money. Here, Morris unlocks the secrets and provides you with the specific moneymaking formula he used to turn his ideas into a fortune. If you're serious about earning millions without working your fingers to the bone, The Unemployed Millionaire gives you the powerful strategies needed to turn your dreams into a reality.
Matt recently completed a degree in English Language at the University of Sheffield. He is a writer of crime fiction and is also very passionate about guitar, which he attempts to play, admittedly rather badly. He is also a huge football fan who likes to play when he can and roots for Arsenal.
I listened to the audiobook, or rather tried to. I got halfway through and just couldn't go any further. I don't doubt that the author is a pro at what he does or that he has good ideas but I don't think reading an audiobook is one of them. That said, I suppose if I really thought his ideas would help make me a millionaire I likely would have continued to suffer through or bought the hardcover. Perhaps, I have listened to too many books of this type to find his to be one to stick with. I am not saying it can't be helpful to some, I am just saying it wasn't helpful to me.
First half interesting on about his story... its when he goes on about additional subjects such as property that lets the overall content down.... a lot of the second half is pretty much what you can get online, it needed to be more laid out in those sections... makes me believe he didn't research those areas well and uses his limited experience in that particular area... if you wanted education there's more in-depth resources available; as a story it is inspirational.
in the end it depends on if your after inspiration or education, this book is mainly for inspiration.
Matt brought his entrepreneurial prowess to play in this book. The combination of Matt's personal story, how he turned things around by determination, consistency, and by taking advantage of opportunities he came across made great lessons.
Matt went on to suggest tools anyone could leverage to really escape the rat race. A great book for anyone seeking to develop personally.
I got halfway through this book before it became an ad for multi-level marketing (rebranded as "network marketing"). *sigh* The first half of the book contained some useful information about leadership, motivation, and dream-building but when it turned into an advertisement for MLM, I gave up and moved on.
Matt Morris artistically instill his concepts through telling his story. That was what make me decide to translate this book in persian. Unfortunately it has not finished yet.
It was a typical book with some typical ideas on how to make money. However, I enjoyed the writer's story and the things he wrote about self-development.
Not even sure why I read this. Curiosity, I guess. Also, I apparently wanted something that didn't make me think. Even after it was clear that it didn't really have anything to say to me, I kept reading anyway. Such thick paper--I think it just felt good to make such visible progress on something.
So, how to become an unemployed millionaire? First, think positive and believe you can. Then, start making money. Pretty simple, eh? You can make this money through multi-level marketing (now called network marketing), real estate, or the internet. Um, yeah.

This was okay. It seemed very self-serving and the chapter on MLM almost made me disconnect until the author added that there were other millionaire hopes beyond MLM in the following chapters. I'm happy that he overcame obstacles to become a millionaire and that he shared his insights in this book. However, I think the key message was to learn how to earn passive income - MLM, real estate or via internet marketing could have been given in a much shorter, more succinct podcast.
I may have read or listened too many "personal development" books to get excited about this one, so please take my review with a grain of salt.
Matt goes from living in a car, selling above the ground swimming pools and taking bath in restrooms to being a millionaire. It's an inspirational read for all those who think that doing so is impossible.
The latter part of the book gives you tips and tricks to do business although it may be outdated since the online marketing landscape keeps changing at an incredible rate.
Great Book. I enjoyed Matt Morris's story more than the latter half of the book. When he gives the strategies to triumph over hardship, that's when this book shines! If your looking to set up an online business, the latter half definitely will give you many tools you can employ to make that a reality. I'll read it again and have a different outlook on it later
