This is a sweet and somewhat silly tale of wishes coming true at Christmas time. The narrative is a bit long for very young children, but it has fun illustrations and inspires a sense of magic and wonder.

Once Upon A Holiday balances on the edge of silly and fantastical, but I think young children, I'm guessing 4-6 or so, will enjoy the idea of a young girl helping to get the Moon back into the sky after a 'silly cow' knocks the moon into the girl's backyard on Christmas night.

I really liked the drawings that accompany the story. The images are detailed and balance realism with touches of the fantastical.

A cute little Christmas story about how wishes do come true, though not always the way you would imagine.
