There was some very interesting content in this book. It delved into the science side of things much more, which I appreciated. However, it ended up not being terribly helpful. It goes into recommended concentrations of very specific types of molecules of things - stuff you'll never know from reading a label of a cosmetic product and I suspect many companies customer service departments would not be able to answer either. The author has her own cosmetic line which I suspect is the only line out there to meet her specifications. While she did not name drop often, ultimately I felt this book was an advertisement for her product line.
I'm glad I checked it out from the library rather than spending money on it. I learned some good things, but do not seeing it serving as a reference in creating my own DIY skin care recipes.
