This is the second book in the Annabel the Actress series by Ellen Conford. It features a spunky actress-in-training who is determined to find her way into the movies.

Annabel is an enterprising young girl who follows her dreams and is not afraid to start small. With persistance, good luck and good timing, she is able to secure a small part as an extra in a movie.

The story is entertaining and I love that it features a strong, independent female who doesn't take no for an answer. The illustrations are quite hilarious and complement the story nicely.

We really enjoyed reading it together and we will certainly look for more of the books in this series at our local library.

Annabelle wants to be an actress, so when a @ovie production company comes to town, she siezes the chance to be an extra. But things do not turn out the way she planned, and Annabelle has to learn that there are no such things as small parts.

A nice early chapter book for the drama fan.
