Great for those learning about or needing a reference to herbs. Pictures are very helpful.

Interesting but not the most helpful. For example, the fairly extensive plant guide for herbs in the back of the book has all of the Latin names but not always the more common names--for the average gardener, that's not ideal. The other sections are about seemingly random topics relating to herbs or categories of herbs. Next time I need a resource I'm going to try something else. I did enjoy the pictures and got a few tidbits of information out of this book, however.
