The Hero:Tyler - he is former special forces and one of a team of military men that were kidnapped and forced into Project Arma. The project was an experiment in creating super soldiers using drugs and DNA manipulation that was run by a former military general, but was not sanctioned by the government. Tylers team was held for two years, and during that time, his mother died from complications of diabetes. Tyler had always helped his mother with her medications and regulating her diabetes and with him being gone, she had trouble managing her illness and worried so much about his disappearance that she became ill and died.
The heroine:Emerson - her mother died when she was very young and her father was abusive. When she was just over ten years old, her father got married to a woman with a son, named Levy. One day when her father was angry at her and ready to beat her, Levy saved her and was nearly beaten to death by her father. Emerson’s stepbrother was a guard for Project Arma, and like the captives, he got enhanced abilities, like superhuman speed, strength, hearing and vision. Since the project was shut down, his mental health had suffered and she was afraid for him, she needed him found and caught so he could get help.
The Story: Emerson had tried hiring regular men to help her with Levy, but he always alluded them and she knew she had to get others with enhanced abilities to help her. She went to Blue Halo Security, the company Tyler and his team now own, and signed a contract for them to capture Levy and get him help. Though when she met Tyler, he told her that he thought all the guards that worked on the project were beyond redemption. So, Emerson made it sound like Levy was also a captive and not a guard.
Like the rest of this series, the story was really good. There wasn’t only the search for Levy, but the fact that Levy was mentally ill and thinks that the general who ran Project Arma was still alive and he thinks that Tyler and the men at Blue Halo were working for him. He wants his sister away from Tyler. There was also a side story about the team from Blue Halo helping the FBI with a serial killer who has been traveling across the country killing two people at a time, one is always someone who has done awful things and the other is one of that person’s family members.
This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Troy Duran and Lucy Rivers. Like I have said before, this series has some of my favorite narrators which is part of the reason I purchased all the audiobooks. Troy Duran always does a fantastic job. He has a deep, sexy voice and is great at doing different voices for different characters. Lucy Rivers has a nice, soft voice which I really enjoyed as well.
This author never writes anything but a stellar 5 Star read!!
Emerson Charles needs help catching her brother who was part of Project Arma. She is trying to get him the help he needs and Blue Halo Security is her last resort.
“Tyler Morgan takes the lead on this case. He and Em have an immediate connection.
This woman owned him. She took every part of him that had been unclaimed. She destroyed any part that had been unsure.
These protective alpha males are to die for. One by one they have fallen hard and now it’s Tyler’s turn.
Love is supposed to be so much more than that. It’s breathless. Short gasps of air because you can barely breathe when your heart’s so full. Trembling fingers because each touch is so electric. And a deep hopefulness even in the darkest moments of despair.”
I’ll never get enough of this series it’s that good. From book one of the original group this author captured my attention with these genetically altered men and the women that have captured there hearts.
Tyler is book six in the Blue Halo series by Nyssa Kathryn. Emerson Charles needed help to find her stepbrother, Levi, so she contacted Blue Halo Security. Emerson is so desperate for help for Levi that she does not tell the Blue Halo Security team, especially Tyler, the truth to ensure they take the case. However, for Emerson, the team at Blue Halo Security found more than Emerson bargained for and will change her life and beliefs forever. The readers of Tyler will continue to follow Emerson to discover what happens.
Tyler is another fantastic addition to this excellent series by Nyssa Kathryn and a great and enjoyable read. I engaged with the story and the characters from the first page and could not put the book down. I love Nyssa Kathryn's portrayal of the characters and their interaction with each other throughout this book. Tyler is well-written and researched by Nyssa Kathryn. I like Nyssa's description of the settings of Tyler that complement the book's plot.
The readers of Tyler will understand the consequences of shelf medication for PTSD. Also, the readers of Tyler will learn about neglect and violence against children and the result for everyone involved.
So this one begs the question, what’s unforgivable? And the answers aren’t easy or straightforward. Not at all. Emerson is trying to save her brother, but knows some will see him as unworthy of saving. Tyler and his team are hired to help, but it’s clear that Emerson is either parsing words or omitting truths to avoid outright lies. And when secrets come out, it’s a question of whether or not Tyler can forgive. And whether Emerson can save the one who saved her so long ago.
I had a feeling that two cases were tied together here, and I was amazed by how well they intermingled. There are a lot of worries and fears over who could be doing things, and it doesn’t look good for Emerson along the way. But Tyler and his friends aren’t going to give up on helping, especially when they learn the entire truth of Emerson and Levi and their devotion to each other. But maybe they all need some saving in one way or another. And maybe they’ll find forever at the end. We can hope.
I really love this series and can’t wait to see how Callum finds his way with a certain librarian next. I also find myself hoping for some redemption for another man now, too.
Tyler takes a meeting with Emerson to help her locate and capture her step-brother Levi. Levi was part of project Arma and will be hard to catch. He has PTSD from the military and Emerson is desperate to get him some psychiatric help. What happened in Iraq has tormented him for years.
Tyler is taken with Emerson immediately and he knows this woman will be his but first to help her capture her brother without killing him.
Emerson's 's loyalty for Levi is unwavering. She loves him for many reasons one of which is the fact that he saved her life when they were kids. And his mom Pixie and Levi made her life so much better.
As always a little romance, and little sexy time, a little drama, and some action.
I loved this story! I had a feeling from Emerson and Tyler’s interaction at the end of book 5, Aidan, that sparks were going to fly between these two and I was not wrong.
Tyler’s book is an insta-love, slight reverse age gap (he’s 26 and she’s 34) but it was absolutely perfect for the two of them. From the beginning you could feel the magnetic pull between them and Tyler’s attention to her was so thoughtful and sweet. He was completely captivated by her and wanted to help. He could tell she was not revealing everything when she asked for his and his team’s assistance, but he was so drawn to her and she to him, he was determined to help no matter what. However, the closer they get and the more serious their feelings become the danger becomes more apparent. When all the secrets are revealed, from the shock, hurt, and feelings of betrayal, will they come out the other side slightly scorched or completely engulfed in flames?
Emerson was immediately drawn to Tyler but scared to get too close. She knew all about Blue Halo and the team of guys who owned the place; she knew she was taking a huge risk asking for their help to find her brother but she was desperate. Due to the circumstances, she knew they were the only people who could help her. Her brother was there for her at the worst time of her life and she owed him everything. She was going to save him no matter the cost. Being attracted to and getting involved with Tyler was not part of the plan. Though she tried to shove the thoughts away and put her head before her heart, she quickly realized she was fighting a losing battle. When the situation spins out of control and she has to make a choice, her heart can’t handle it, and she does the only thing she can – but no one saw the deadlier threat lurking in the background until it was too late.
This book is most definitely my favorite of the series (at least until the next releases, haha! It’s just impossible to choose.). There is just something about these guys and gals that pull you in and hold on tight – the deep loyalty, the friendships, the steadfastness…I could go on and on. Tyler is the perfect combination of action, suspense, steam, and romance with a riveting plotline that is so engrossing it’s impossible to stop reading. Also, the subplot is so shocking and compelling…a total nailbiter! It’s an amazing story from start to finish.
Nyssa Kathryn has a knack with words that pull you in and don't let you go. Emerson is looking for help from the Blue Halo team. She and Tyler has an intense connection from the moment they meet. Tyler holds no qualms in doing what he can to explore this. Emerson, however, is hesitant because he isn't giving all of the truth.
This is a spin-off from Kathryn's debut series, Project Arma and she continues to bring suspense and romance in the perfect blend. You do not need to read that series first, but you do get a better understanding how how these men are changed. These books standalone well. The storyline is engaging and there are a couple of twists that aren't expected. This is a book you will want to block some time off because it is one that you won't want to put down.

This story once more explores the theme of forgiveness, what is or not forgivable. Why the storyline following two cases, Emerson’s and a serial killer’s.
Despite their differences and Tyler’s inner feeling that Emerson is hiding something, they have an instant chemistry. Emerson is a quiet sort of woman, devoted to those she cares, and if she can give back a tiny bit of what she received years ago, she won’t hesitate. Tyler like his mates has still understandably a lot of build-up angst in him after his two years of detentions as lab-rat. And lot of sorrows for what those years cost him.
Their relationship is easy, both drawn to the other, but kept on a sort of stand-off as Emerson’s secret lingers between them. Both are do-gooders, so whatever lies ahead, they are bond to make it work. A moving tale of how far oneself can go in the name of love and the breaking point of this love. 4.5 stars

I have been granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
The Blue Halo series is a fantastic one, and this sixth book with Emerson Charles and Tyler Morgan as the central characters, makes for an exciting and interesting read.
Told in dual points of view by both leading characters means readers gain insightful knowledge about both the characters themselves and how they are feeling. The Project Arma disaster rears its ugly head again with a repercussion that nobody predicted. This time though slightly different and poses some interesting dilemmas for both the Blue Halo Team, as well as, Emerson.
Emerson is such a strong woman, one who has experienced trauma in her childhood and it’s long range effects on her life today. The love and appreciation she has for her brother is firm but shakes in its foundation a time or two. How far would you go to save somebody you love even knowing they had done some terrible things? This question is behind everything Emerson goes through and boy it’s a tough one. She’s inherently a good person who believes in a moral code.
Tyler basically saw Emerson in a local bar at the end of Aidan’s book then she pops up at his work the next day—end result… smitten. Honestly, I believe he could see that goodness inside her and the fact he was physically attracted as well, didn’t hurt. 😉
There’s plenty of action and drama in this story even though it’s a slightly slower-paced book. I love how the team all support each other and co-ordinate like clockwork together. Without giving too much away, there are two things working concurrently that the team are trying to solve. I will admit I had my suspicions and they were right but it was really a fluke. 😆
A great romance between Emerson and Tyler ensues and the reverse age gap doesn’t seem a problem fortunately. I think this shows the depth of Tyler’s character and the trust Emerson was able to extend to Tyler.
A another terrific story in this sensational series.
Tyler Morgan’s career in the special forces had barely begun when he was kidnapped by the people behind Project Arma. He and other military men were taken against their will for an experiment they thought had been endorsed by the government--but most definitely wasn't. This experiment made them stronger and faster than the normal person, but they were caged and made to endure further experiments, all in the name of military progress. Nevertheless, they bonded together, eventually escaped, and started their own security company (Blue Halo).
"Tyler" is book number 6 in the Blue Halo Series, but don't worry; all the Blue Halo books can be read out of order without losing anything. The heroine in "Tyler" is Emerson Charles. Emerson had a difficult childhood but ended finding a safe haven with her stepmother and stepbrother, Levi. Levi. When Levi found himself in trouble years later, Emerson vowed to do everything for the brother of her heart who had always been her protector. She ended up seeking the expertise of the men of Blue Halo Security.
I don't want to go more into the story because there's way too much that happens which will keep your eyes glued to the page. Just note that all the Blue Halo men and their stories will pull you in and capture your heart. You can’t go wrong choosing any Nyssa Kathryn book, but this one is one of my favorites. Tyler is the perfect combination of action, suspense, and steamy romance. And, once you've read one of Nyssa's books, you're bound to want them all.

Tyler and Emerson are such a beautiful couple. And let me just say that I never get tired of watching these amazing alpha men fall in love with their women it is incredible to watch. It’s always different for each one of them but the same deep raw passion, the possessive need to protect each and everyone of them it’s always inspiring and absolutely breathtaking. It’s an absolute joy each and every time, this time was absolutely amazing. Emerson, is on her last option to finding her brother, the men of Blue Halo Security. She is very guarded and she’s just holding out hope that they can help her. Tyler know she’s hiding something, he doesn’t pressure her for the information. Emerson is trying to figure out who she can trust with the the big secret she is keeping. The closer that Emerson and Tyler get the more blurred the lines get between friendship and something more and closer the danger becomes. Watching them fall in love is beautiful as always I love once she finally let’s go and opens her heart fully it’s a beautiful thing and she realizes that he will do absolutely anything to protect her. Through all the struggles through all the curveballs they get through on their way they get through it together and come out even stronger than they were before. So glad that they got there happily ever after. I can’t wait for the next story in this series, Callum I’m talking about you sir!
This was a perfect addition to this series. It was low angst with some instant attraction and a lot of suspense. I love all the men of Blue Halo and Tyler fits right in.
Emerson is desperate to find her brother and get him the help he needs. Even though she’s unsure about the things he’s done in the past, he saved her when nobody else did and he’s all the family she has left. She goes to Blue Halo, knowing the secret she’s keeping us a risk, but she doesn’t see any other way.
Tyler knows Emerson isn’t telling the whole truth, but that doesn’t stop him from falling for Blue Halo’s newest client. Every interaction with Emerson draws him closer until she finally gives in and they fall hard and fast. Emerson knows she needs to tell Tyler the whole truth, but can’t find the words. When Tyler realizes what Emerson has been hiding, both he and Emerson have a lot to hash out, but a new threat is on the horizon and Tyler will do anything to keep the woman he’s come to live safe.
This was an exciting read with some big twists and betrayal at the end. I loved how the search for Levi and Blue Halo’s other case with the FBI wove together. Tyler’s love for Emerson was so pure and I’m glad he had his brother’s to help him understand why Emerson kept such a big secret from him. I loved the small glimpse into Callum’s story, which is going to be the next book in this series.
I love Ms Kathryn’s gorgeous, growly alpha super-soldiers and Tyler’s story slots smoothly into her Blue Halo series and is every bit as exciting as the Project ARMA series that kicked it all off.
The insta-love that Tyler felt for Emerson when he first laid eyes on her, even before she’d officially shown up in the office to request their help was palpable. The chemistry was instant, and his love quickly became unconditional. His trust so strong, that he would do anything to support her, even as he questioned the likelihood that they would successfully find and possible rehabilitate her errant step-brother.
On her part, Emerson had known only pain and rejection from her father until Pixie, her step-mother came into her life along with her step-brother, Levi. I was so rapt that finally there was someone honest and honourable who could love her as a child should be loved and protected, and ultimately, it was Levi who stepped up, almost dying in the process. Their bond was strong, and it was this belief and love that Em relied on in her mission to save her brother, even from himself.
The underlying suspense thread had me tethered to this book until finished, and crikey, even though I had my suspicions, it was still a brilliant reveal and ending. Excitement, action and plenty of heat from beginning to end. Ms Kathryn has a winning formula that keeps me coming back for more!!! 5-All-Hot-Action-Stars! 🖤💞✶
We are back in Cradle Mountain with the men of Blue Halo Security. Men that while serving their country , were taken against their will for an experiment not endorsed by the government. One that made them stronger and faster than the normal person. Against their will and caged, these brave men bounded and once escaping, started a security company. Little by little they have found their soulmates. This story belongs to Tyler Morgan and Emerson Charles. When Emerson goes to Blue Halo with the intend of hiring them to find her step-brother Levi, Tyler took the job. He knows Emerson is keeping secrets, but he was not aware how dangerous those secrets were and who her brother really was. As the danger intensifies, so does the attraction between these two. Can the team find Levi? Will Tyler forgive Emerson for keeping secrets? Once again, this talented author delivers a story that grabs the readers attention from the first page to the last . In the midst of all the twists and turns, the story also has heart. A story filled with imperfect and wonderful main characters . This story also gives the readers a chance to “catch up” with characters from previous stories. Another winner for the much loved series. Looking forward to the next book. I was entrusted a copy of this book . The opinions expressed are solely my own.
When Emerson Charles was 11, her stepbrother, Levi, took a beating that would’ve killed her. Since then, Em’s been more than loyal to him. Since Project ARMA was shutdown, Levi’s been aloof and his sanity, doubtful; he’s evaded several PI’s tasked with finding Levi and bringing him home. Blue Halo is Em’s last hope.
Tyler Morgan’s attracted to Em and ask to work her case while the team helps FBI on a series of baffling murders.. As they talk, Tyler admits he believes everyone associated with Project ARMA, except direct victims, should pay for their crimes. Em claims Levi’s an ARMA victim but Tyler thinks she’s hiding something.
On the case Ty and Levi face off, one trying to subdue and the other trying to kill. Ty has difficulty meshing what he sees with what he’s been told when Levi is violent at the market and demands Em come to him as she looks on. looks on. Maybe it’s adrenaline but Em gets past her age difference issue with Tyler but by morning she’s overridden by guilt.
Em’s plan is to tell Tyler what she’s withheld about the case but before she does Ty figures it out by looking at Em’s latest paintings. The look of betrayal in Tyler’s eyes makes Em realize she can’t have what she wants the way she wants it with Tyler and Levi. Em makes a decision, then she makes a few calls. Rating: 4.25stars
Tyler Blue Halo, Book 6 By: Nyssa Kathryn Narrated by: Troy Duran, Lucy Rivers
Tyler and Emerson. What a fantastic couple! Nyssa Kathryn adds another layer to the Project Arma saga with this one. Emerson is looking for her stepbrother, Levi. He is like a ghost, having the same characteristics as the team. She knows she needs them. The instant Tyler meets her, the instant connection is impossible to break. But what happens next is something I wasn't ready for. The perfect amount of suspense, an intriguing story and a love connection all are there for the taking. Kathryn's characters are so good. Even the ones we love to hate are amazing, adding depth and excitement to the story. She also deals with relevant issues like domestic abuse and PTSD. Plus we get glimpses of all the others we met, even those from the first series! This is a great addition to the series and I can't wait to see what is coming up next!
Troy Duran and Lucy Rivers are fantastic as Tyler and Emerson. Duran has that alpha voice that Tyler needs as Emerson's protector. He brings out all the qualities these men have in spades and keeps him strong with a soft side. Rivers is perfect as Emerson. Emotionally driven, all her feelings are out in the open and Rivers gives her every one. It's a great team for this couple and an incredible listen.
The men of Blue Halo keep getting better. Emerson is on the hunt for her brother who suffers with PTSD. Because of what he'd been through when serving overseas, the man who developed Project Arma took advantage of her brother. Therefore, she needs the men of Blue Halo, the only people who could possibly understand and are strong enough to stop him. The moment Tyler meets Emerson, he knows he's a goner. He wants to protect her from her brother, a man who knew that Tyler and his brothers were being held against their will and did nothing to help them, but she is loyal to a fault. He struggles to forgive anyone involved with the project who stole two years of his life and time with his mother who died while he was a captive. But Emerson soon convinces him that there are two sides to every story. Things progress quickly between the pair but will her loyalty to her brother come between them? Or is there something more sinister waiting in the wings? Tyler is another alpha male who falls hard and fast. Emerson wants to keep her distance but soon gives in to the intense feelings she has for the man. I love these men from Blue Halo and how fiercely they love their woman. The little snippets of the next Blue Halo man who will fall makes me excited for the next book in the series.
As always, I loved another one of Nyssa Kathryn books.
Emerson came from a painful childhood and is now trying to save her stepbrother who was the one that ultimately saved her from her own father. He fought for her; how could she not fight for him now that he needs her? The one problem, she is asking the men that were victim of Project Arma to save her brother.
Her brother was technically not the good one during that project since he worked as a guard while Tyler and his team were locked. Will Tyler be able to forgive Emerson for hiding that from him. Can he put aside his hater for those men and save the brother of the woman he loves?
This story teaches us forgiveness, loyalty, and how not everything nor everyone is black or white. Some things/people can be grey and that’s doesn’t make them bad, or they can change.
I love Tyler and how he put aside his hate, for valid reasons, and actually forgave Emerson omission and because of her, he helped her brother.
Of course, the twist at the end was amazing. This is one of the things I love about Nyssa’s books. The real psycho in the book is the one we don’t really expect at the end.
Overall it was an amazing read and I recommend anyone to read it.
How does this series keep getting better…. (I think I say this every time!)
I think Emerson and Tyler are my favourite couple (so far..) from the Blue Halo squad and I loved how this book came together and how the narrators kept up with this really pacy storyline, keeping the emotional highs going even when the crashing downs happened. Relationships built on a lie aren’t my favourite generally but I not only loved this, I totally got it, understood and supported Emerson’s reasons for not telling Tyler the whole of it all. I loved how despite her upbringing she had so much love to give and her devotion to Levi and belief in him, whilst acknowledging his imperfections, was so inspiring. Lucy Rivers really narrated this well with Troy Duran, really bringing out the shame and confusion that Emerson felt as well as the depth of Tylers feelings for her even when he felt her betrayal. I loved how they fell in love, and how easy it was despite the drama surrounding them. The storyline weaved between disconnected events so well before typing them all up skilfully to wrap up in a bow the entire book.
Loved it and as much as I can’t wait for the last 2 books, I’ll hate to see the Arma/Blue Halo teams go.
Another Amazing Story Wow, Nyssa Kathryn just gets better with each one of her books! Emerson is bound and determined to help find and save her brother. He has been battling demons for years and is spiraling out of control. He is too strong for her and normal people to try and control and contain with his altered DNA caused by Project Arma so she goes to the only place that could possibly help, Blue Halo. Will they help her when they find out who her brother is? Tyler saw her at the bar and knew who she was when she was coming in to meet about finding her brother and he wanted to be the person she met with. He felt drawn to her for some reason. He knows she isn’’t being totally truthful about her brother but he hopes she will trust him enough to tell him everything but she doesn’t do it before he finds out on his own.
Tyler feels betrayed but then realizes that he doesn’t have all the facts but when he goes to talk to her she is gone. Can he repair the damage he did and still help her find and save her brother or will she become the next victim of a psychopath that is coming closer to their small town?
How is it that each book keeps getting better and better? How is it that once I am done a new book by this author, I want to go back and reread the previous books? How is it that each new couple becomes a favourite and I want more of them? Another great addition to the Blue Halo series with the youngest member, Tyler, who finds the one woman who brings him to his knees, who happens to be more than a few years older than him. But that doesn’t matter to either of them because what they begin to feel for each other, age is not an issue. But what may be an issue is the full truth she is hiding from the team when she goes to them for help, to find her stepbrother, Levi, who also happens to be altered like them. They are her only choice to help capture him and she will do whatever it takes to save her brother, who saved her when she needed him the most. A book I couldn’t and didn’t want to put down till the last page that had suspense, twists and turns, secrets, surprises and steam…ahem…steam. I loved these two, the sparks, the connection, the trust and patience….loved it. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This story follows Tyler, a former military man who was experimented on and has stronger exaggerated physical abilities; and Emerson, the step-sister of a former military man tangentially-involved in the experiments.
Emerson reaches out to Tyler and the Blue Halo team after trying to help her PTSD afflicted brother and having minimal results. Tyler and Emerson fall fast and hard for each other even though Emerson seems to be keeping some important information close to her chest.
I enjoyed a lot of the twists and surprises in this story. I didn’t see quite a lot of it coming and was glad that Emerson and Tyler were able to work through their individual feelings towards the Project Arma experiments and the people involved. I think the part that fell a little flat for me was the start of the relationship between Tyler and Emerson. Tyler is aware that Emerson is hiding stuff from the very beginning but continues to fall hard for her without knowing what those hidden truths would be. This ultimately comes back to bite him a bit and I couldn’t help but be annoyed with him for that.
Nyssa Kathryn is one of my go to authors. I am loving the Blue Halo series, each time I feel I have met the ultimate book boyfriend the next one comes along and I fall in love all over again! Emerson hires Blue Halo to find her brother who had been involved in Project Arma. Although Tyler is attracted to Emerson, it is clear that she is not telling the whole truth! The question is " how far do you go to support someone you love whose actions go totally against your moral code?" Emerson really struggles with the this and it impacts on her developing relationship with Tyler. As it becomes clear that Emerson is in danger, the whole of the Blue Halo team rally around to support her. The team spirit and camaraderie between the men and their partners is always a real strength of this series and it is great to catch up with old friends from previous books. Excitement, romance and great characters, what more could you ask for? I cannot believe this is the 6th book in this fabulous series, I recommend it unreservedly and cannot wait to read the next in the series.
This is book 6 but can be read as a standalone, although the Blue Halo characters are throughout the series, each book concentrates on a couple.
Emerson asks the Blue Halo team to help catch her brother, they are her last chance as he has the same enhancements as the team - but she can't tell them everything or they may not help.
So this book brought up serious moral dilemmas. Both from Emerson and also from the case the guys are helping to investigate. I didn't see the twist in the investigation that happened at the end, but looking back, I probably should have.
As I always do with Nyssa's books, I loved the storyline, loved the characters and love the over-protectiveness of all the guys with their partners, it got me hooked from the first page and I couldn't put it down until I finished.
The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is due to how quickly Tyler did a 180 with his own beliefs over Project Arma, after so many years his quick change of opinion was a little hard to understand.
It was good but parts of the plot didn’t make sense.
I really enjoyed this book, up to three quarters of the way in, then it got really silly. Worse than that was the gaps in the plot! For example; At one point Emerson draws out all her money, then leaves it all in the hotel room! There’s no mention of her going back to get it.
Emerson goes to Blue Halo security to ask for help finding and helping her stepbrother. Levi was in the program and has been enhanced, like the team, and has serious mental health problems. Tyler takes one look at Emerson and wants her. As they get closer and they start to have feelings for each other, he realises that Emerson is keeping something hidden about her brother. Something bad that would put the team off from helping her. It’s quite exciting in places as they try to contain Levi, and he escapes every time. It did annoy me that she was keeping a HUGE secret from Tyler as they’re supposed to be in love.
Overall it’s a really good book. It is massively let down by the last part, sadly. It was almost like the author got bored.
Tyler was kidnapped by Project Arma. His DNA was altered in an effort to make the perfect super soldier. He was held captive for two years. While he was in captivity, he was not able to be there for his mother and she stopped caring for herself and managing her diabetes. This lead to her death. Tyler holds a lot of resentment and a need for vengeance toward anyone that was involved with Project Arma. Emerson is an artist whose brother was also involved with Project Arma. However, her brother, Erik, was a guard for the project. Now his mind has been affected and he’s bit out of control. Will Tyler help Emerson save her brother or is this his chance to get back at those responsible for his capture and his mothers death?
Such a great action packed book filled with intrigue, betrayal, kidnapping, serial killers, forgiveness and loyalty. So many twists and turns Kathryn keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I received a review copy of this book from the author. I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Story: 5 🌟 Spice level - 🌶🌶 .5 Re-read/re-listen: Yes Recommend: Yes! Troupe: Insta-love, reverse age gap
Story: Book 6 of Blue Halo Umm, I am pretty sure Tyler is my favorite. Well, next to Jasin and Aiden. Hahaha. I know it makes no sense. Leave me alone. I love them. I adored this story and am really sad I read it so quickly. It touched on PTSD/mental illness and the lengths that someone would go to save that person! It was gut-wrenching. Tyler and Emerson are so freaking adorable together. I swear it was insta love. IT WAS EVERYTHING. Nyssa writes her man characters with very little drama with each other. Do not get me wrong, angst is awesome, but I do like the occasional switch up, and Nyssa delivers every single time! Her main characters are just boom, magic. I love going back to her series and her books. This one is definitely not any different. I wish inhad better words. I loved this couple. Add this to your TBR, pre-order. It's fantastic!
